Controversial Triptych

Three posters on a metal garage wall.

Set of posters advertising a hypothetical film festival focused on the Hays Code and it’s effect on movies. The type is set in the typical font used for scripts, and the tape covering each poster represents the censorship that movies from this time period had to endure. On each poster the tape gets more and more intense, covering more of the white space as it goes on. The red tape becomes more intense as well, and represents the pushback from directors at the time. This was created using actual tape, and was then scanned into the computer and completed on Photoshop.
